Choreographed water jets on the lake between Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. Shows run every 30 minutes through the evening and last a few minutes each.
What it costs: nothing. This is the best free thing to do in Downtown.
Our advice: the Souk Al Bahar bridge gives you a better, closer angle than most of the paid terraces around the lake — and it costs nothing. Arrive about 15 minutes early for a front-row spot on the railing.
