About MyGuide AE

MyGuide AE is an independent guide to the United Arab Emirates, in English and Arabic, for people who live in the UAE and people who visit. We write practical answers — what a service costs, which documents you need, how a rule works, how to get somewhere — from official sources, and every guide names its source and the date we checked it.

What you will find here

• Guides for residents — annual and sick leave, end of service, work permits, residence and visit visas, the Emirates ID, renting (Ejari, DEWA, rental disputes) and driving licences, written from the UAE government portal, MoHRE, ICP, GDRFA, the Dubai Land Department, RTA and other authorities. • Free calculators — end-of-service gratuity, final settlement, rent increase, visit visa and move-in costs and more. Each one shows its working and the rule it applies: all tools.
• Guides to all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah: attractions, tickets, transport and seasons, from the tourism authorities and the venues’ own websites.
• A directory of places across the emirates. A directory record is information, not a recommendation: places our editor has not visited are labelled “Not visited yet”, and each description says which official source it was written from.
• Prayer times for 19 cities in the UAE.

How we work

Every fee, date, rule and opening time comes from an official page that we read ourselves. If we cannot confirm something, we leave it out rather than guess. We do not say we visited a place unless we did. Guides on work, visas and other legal topics are general information, not legal advice. The full method is in our editorial policy.

How the site is funded

MyGuide AE is free to read. It is funded by display advertising and by optional featured listings: a business can pay to appear first in its area and category lists, and that placement is always labelled Sponsored. Listing a business is free. We do not use affiliate links, and no payment changes what our guides say.

Corrections

Prices, rules and opening hours change. If you find something out of date or wrong, send us the page link and the correct information through our contact form. We check it against the official source, fix the page and update its review date.
