Area
Everything we have recorded in Palm Jumeirah. Places we have been to carry a price in dirhams and hours we checked ourselves; the rest are marked as not visited yet.
Palm Jumeirah is the artificial island off the Dubai Marina coast, built as a trunk with sixteen fronds and a crescent breakwater. Atlantis The Palm sits at the tip of the crescent with Aquaventure waterpark and The Lost Chambers aquarium; The View at The Palm, in Palm Tower on the trunk, is the observation deck that looks back over the whole shape, which is the only way to actually see it from the ground. The Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk runs along the outer edge of several fronds and costs nothing — it is the best free thing on the island, and it faces the sunset. The monorail runs from Gateway station at the base to Atlantis; Gateway connects to the Dubai Tram, and the tram to the Red Line, so the island is reachable on public transport with two changes.
