Dubai rental dispute fee calculator (RDC)

Filing a rental case at Dubai's Rental Disputes Center costs 3.5% of the annual rent (AED 500 to 20,000) or of the amount claimed (AED 500 to 15,000), plus fixed fees. Half of the main fee comes back if you settle.

    Questions people ask

Do I get the fee back if we settle?

Partly. If conciliation ends in a settlement, half of the fee paid for the basic claim is refunded. The RDC does not say the process service, knowledge, innovation or centre fees are refunded.

    Which documents do I need?

The latest Ejari-registered lease, Emirates ID (or trade licence for companies), a bank letter showing your IBAN, the notarised or registered-post notice for an eviction, and anything that supports the claim. Documents must be in Arabic or legally translated.

Is the 5% VAT on the RDC page?

The RDC page says "AED 130 + VAT" without the VAT amount. The calculator applies the standard UAE rate of 5%, which is AED 6.50.
