Teaching is organised into Business Management, Engineering, and Mathematics and Data Science, plus an Institute of Research and Professional Training.
Entry requirements (summary)
- Postgraduate: a bachelor’s degree and IELTS Academic 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 91.
- Undergraduate: minimum school results that depend on the curriculum (for example IB 30/42 or 90% in the American High School Diploma), and IELTS Academic 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 79.
- Foundation and diploma: IELTS Academic 5.0 or equivalent.
Fees and visas
Tuition amounts are not shown on the admissions page; EAU publishes them in its Fees & Refund Policy and an online cost calculator. Payment can be made online, by cheque, by transfer, or through payment plans or loans. Students pay their own student visa charges, including the blood test and Emirates ID. If a Dubai visa application is rejected, tuition fees are refunded but registration fees are not.
Background
The university began in 1991 as Dubai Aviation College, merged with the Emirates Group in 2002 as Emirates Aviation College, gained university status in 2010 and was renamed Emirates Aviation University in 2014, when its Academic City campus opened. It is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and lists recognition from the UK’s QAA.
