Jebel Ali Village Nursery – Al Zahia (also called Jebel Ali Nursery or JAN Al Zahia) is the Sharjah branch of a nursery group with five more branches in Dubai. It takes children from 45 days to 5 years and follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with Arabic language and Emirati culture included.
Programme
The nursery’s curriculum page says EYFS is the core framework, drawing also on Montessori, Steiner, Forest Schools, Froebel, Reggio Emilia and the Curiosity Approach. Children learn in English, Arabic and French. The nursery uses Monster Phonics and sends progress updates to parents through the Illumine app. Extracurricular activities listed are ballet, yoga, Zumba, gymnastics, karate and football, and there are spring, summer and winter camps.
The Al Zahia branch page lists purpose-built buildings, classrooms with learning zones for the seven areas of EYFS learning, a large shaded outdoor playground, enrichment and sensory rooms, and an on-site clinic staffed by qualified nurses.
