Fujairah Tourism describes it as the second largest mosque in the UAE, modelled on its namesake, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The building is clad in white granite and marble, and materials for its construction were sourced from different parts of the world. According to Fujairah Tourism, the mosque has capacity for 28,000 worshippers. It functions as an active place of worship and is also presented as one of the emirate's religious and architectural attractions. Fujairah Tourism lists visiting hours of 09:00 to 18:00 and suggests allowing around three hours for a visit.
