Amphibious Surf School, run by Amphibious LLC, teaches surfing, swimming and stand-up paddleboarding in Dubai, with surf lessons at the Sunset Beach surfing zone in Umm Suqeim 3. It is for complete beginners and experienced surfers, for adults and for children aged 5 to 16, and for families looking for kids’ camps.
Surf lessons and prices
Each surf session lasts 1 hour and includes equipment and coaching. Prices as published by the school, in AED:

Paddleboarding and swimming
- SUP tour: 2 hours around the Burj Al Arab, with an express lesson, guide, life vest, equipment, and photos and videos. 175 AED per person for a couple, 125 AED per person in a group.
- SUP lesson: 1 hour, 255 AED private or 155 AED per person in a group, life vest and equipment included.
- Swimming lessons: 45 minutes. 155 AED private, 195 AED for two people sharing a coach, 85 AED per person in a group of 4–5. Packs of 10 lessons plus 1 free cost 1,550, 1,950 and 850 AED. The school notes prices may vary with the customer’s location.
The school also runs kids’ camps, an after-school surf programme, beach parties and corporate events, and rents out beach equipment.
How to book
Booking is by WhatsApp on +971 50 976 4948. The website has registration forms for swimming lessons, kids’ camps and the after-school programme. No opening hours are published, because sessions are arranged in advance.
Good to know
- Bookings must be made in advance and paid in full beforehand, by bank transfer, payment link or cash.
- Cancel at least 8 hours before the lesson; later cancellations are forfeited, and the school gives no refunds.
- Surfers must be able to swim comfortably in 6 feet of water; swimming lessons start from age 3.
- If weather, a beach closure or flat water stops a lesson, the school offers other dates.
- Tell the school about any medical conditions, injuries or medication when you book.
