Dhabian Equestrian Club

Dhabian Equestrian Club is a riding school and stable yard on Street 15 in Al Samhah, Abu Dhabi. It teaches riders from age 3, from complete beginners to jumping and dressage riders, and also offers livery, horse leasing, horse training, beach and desert rides and corporate sessions.

Riding lessons

Lessons run daily and can be bought singly or in packages of 4, 8 or 12, valid for one month. Formats are private, semi-private (up to 3 riders) and group (4 to 6 riders).

• First Timerz: a 45-minute ride with a riding assessment, which every new rider must take first, whatever their experience.
• iRide / Equissentialz: a programme from novice to competent rider, described by the club as ADEC-approved.
• General riding: walk, trot and canter, transitions, circles and pole work.
• Specialist lessons: jumping and dressage for experienced riders, up to 3 per class.
• Therapeutic lessons: equine-assisted riding for People of Determination.
• For children: Filliez and Coltz, Dhabian Clubz and school-holiday camps.

Other services and facilities

The club offers full livery for all breeds, horse leasing, horse training and a competition team. Facilities include ventilated stables cooled by air conditioning or fans, several arenas, the Equuis Cafe & Tack Shop, and access to the beach and desert for rides. The club says it is accredited by ACTVET as a Licensed Training Provider and issues ACTVET-recognised certificates through its education hub.

• Lessons and packages are paid in advance by bank transfer.
• Give 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move a slot, or the full price is charged. Packages can be paused up to twice a year.
• Wear long stretchy trousers and trainers or flat boots; the club lends a helmet if you do not have one.
