About Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Dubai

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai, at Villa 12, Street 29b, Jumeirah 2, handles consular matters and Korean visas. It serves Korean nationals and visa applicants who are UAE nationals or residents of Dubai and the Northern Emirates; Abu Dhabi and Al Ain residents apply at the Korean Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Do you need a visa?

Travellers from countries eligible for the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) apply online at k-eta.go.kr and do not need to go to the consulate. If your country is not eligible, or your K-ETA is refused, you can apply for a visa here.

Who can apply in Dubai

  • UAE nationals.
  • Non-UAE nationals with a Dubai or Northern Emirates residence visa valid for at least 6 more months.
  • Nationals of a list of 33 countries (including Egypt, India, Pakistan, Syria, the Philippines and Bangladesh) must also have held UAE residence continuously for the last 2 years.
  • Applicants refused before can reapply only 3 months after the last refusal.

Steps and fees

  1. Choose the visa type and prepare the documents listed on the consulate’s website.
  2. Book an appointment. Tourist visas are booked online at g4k.go.kr; other visas (business, medical, training, student and others) by email to [email protected]. Walk-ins are not accepted, and arriving more than 10 minutes late means you will not be seen.
  3. Apply in person and pay. Fees are card only: US$40 single entry, US$70 double entry, US$90 multiple entry, non-refundable.
  4. Collect your passport on the date on your receipt. Processing takes 7 calendar days and there is no urgent service.
