Mazmi Casa is a small bed and breakfast inside the old Textile Souq on the creekside of Bur Dubai, above Mazmi Cafe. It suits couples and small families who want to stay in the historic souk area near the Dubai Museum and Al Bastakiya, rather than in a large chain hotel.
Who runs it
According to its website, the B&B was set up by Ilaria, its Italian owner, and her husband Mohamed Al Mazmi, after they opened the creekside coffee shop Mazmi Coffee&More. The rooms were designed by Italian interior designer Davide Algranti with the owner.

All rooms are on the first floor and sleep 2 guests in a queen bed that can be split into two singles; an extra single bed is available on request. Each room has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, a safe, soundproofing and daily cleaning.
Breakfast and food
Rates are per night for two people and include an à la carte breakfast at Mazmi Cafe, one floor below. The menu includes cakes, croissants, pancakes, waffles, egg dishes, fresh juices and coffee, plus homemade gelato such as saffron, date and pistachio.
House rules
- A cot for children aged 0 to 3 is free; children under 8 stay free in a room with two adults.
- An extra bed costs USD 50 per night, in some rooms only.
- Pets are not allowed, and alcohol is not allowed anywhere in the building.
- Guests who are not registered with an ID or passport are not allowed in after 8 pm.
