Sultan bin Zayed Fort
About Sultan bin Zayed Fort
Sultan Fort is an early 20th-century fort at the heart of Al Ain Museum, at 46 Al Mut-haf Street in central Al Ain. The museum and the fort are managed as one cultural site by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and visitors reach the fort through the museum grounds. As part of the museum's recent transformation, the fort was revitalised and four new galleries were built around archaeological remains found on the site, dating from the Iron Age to the Late Pre-Islamic period. According to Abu Dhabi Culture, the galleries open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM, with a café open from 7 AM to 11 PM. During Ramadan the hours are 10 AM to 10 PM. The museum can be contacted on +971 3 711 8383.
