Choose a Burj Khalifa ticket for a specific date and time, then read your confirmation instructions: voucher exchange and ticket presentation depend on the booking channel. Arrive well before your slot, and store strollers and bags as directed by the operator.
The three tickets in one line each
- Silver (At the Top): levels 124 and 125 with the outdoor terrace. The standard visit.
- Gold (At the Top SKY): adds level 148, fast-track queues, a guided tour with a Guest Ambassador and welcome refreshments.
- Platinum (The Lounge): a hosted lounge on levels 152 to 154, with fast-track access to 124, 125 and 148, soft drinks, canapés and high tea.
Prices, child rates and what changes them are on a separate page: how much does Burj Khalifa cost?
Which ticket for whom
| What you want | Tier to compare | Published difference |
|---|---|---|
| The standard observation decks | Silver | Levels 124 and 125 and an outdoor terrace |
| Level 148 with priority entry | Gold | Level 148 and a terrace at 555 m; access to 124/125 and welcome refreshments |
| A hosted lounge and higher levels | Platinum | Levels 152/153/154 plus 124/125/148, with drinks, canapés and high tea |
| A child is travelling | Their category in the selected product | The three pages list under 3 entry as free and adult accompaniment up to 16; check that product’s child price category |
| A main meal | A package explicitly including it | Light refreshments are not automatically lunch or dinner; choose the stated meal package |
How to book, step by step
- Pick the tier using the table above.
- Pick the date and time slot. Your ticket is valid only for that date and time. Peak and non-peak timings change with the season, so compare slots in the calendar.
- Check the last entry for your product and date: use its booking calendar and confirmation rather than a fixed year-round time.
- Pay and keep the confirmation. Each guest needs their own QR code to get in.
- Follow the entry instructions on your confirmation. If your booking requires voucher exchange, complete it at the stated counter before heading to the lifts. Keep the ticket or code specified by your booking channel.
Timing your visit
- Allow about an hour and a half. That is the average visit length the listings give.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your slot. The listings warn that delays can happen at peak periods.
- Sunset. The operator’s FAQ recommends Level 124 entry about 120 minutes before sunset. Check sunset on your visit date and the available times and prices in the calendar; waiting times vary.
- Pair it with the fountain. The Dubai Fountain at the foot of the tower is free to watch from the promenade, with evening shows every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, according to Emaar.
- 31 December: check the attraction and Dubai Mall announcements for the year of your visit, including any special access arrangements, rather than relying on another year’s hours or restrictions.
Getting there
Burj Khalifa is in Downtown Dubai and At The Top is reached through The Dubai Mall. Emaar lists the Dubai Metro Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station, RTA bus routes F 13 and 27, Uber and Careem, and parking for drivers. For Metro fares and the nol card, see our Metro and nol card guide.
What to bring, and what to leave behind
Bring
- Your confirmation and ticket in the format specified by your booking channel, printed or electronic where its instructions allow.
- A separate QR code for every guest.
Not allowed inside
The operator requires strollers and specified bags to be stored in the luggage room. The other items below are prohibited inside; do not assume the luggage counter will store dangerous items or every prohibited substance.
- Outside food and drinks.
- Large bags and baby strollers.
- Sharp objects.
- Laptops and tablets.
- Electronic cigarettes.
- Skate shoes or any footwear with wheels.
If you are travelling with a baby, plan to carry them once you pass the counter, since strollers cannot go up.
Cancellations, weather and lost tickets
- Emaar’s main Silver, Gold and Platinum product pages permit cancellation requests up to 24 hours before the scheduled visit and do not accommodate requests within the last 24 hours. This alone does not establish a full refund amount for every package or seller; read the terms of the product and channel you pay.
- If your channel requires voucher exchange, check the restrictions that take effect afterwards; the cited Visit Dubai offer does not allow a refund after exchange.
- Lost, damaged or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.
- The outdoor terrace may close during inclement weather; the operator’s FAQ says it does not provide weather refunds or rain checks.
Common mistakes
- Heading to the lifts before completing the entry requirements or voucher exchange if your confirmation requires it.
- Arriving at your slot time instead of 30 minutes before it.
- Bringing a stroller, laptop or large bag and losing time at the luggage counter.
- Booking a child’s ticket without checking the selected product’s age category, price and accompaniment conditions.
- Booking before your plans are fixed without reading that offer’s cancellation deadline and refund terms.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
Emaar says tickets can be bought online or at the venue. Booking ahead lets you choose your slot.
How long is the visit?
The official listings give an average of about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Can I bring a pushchair?
No. Baby strollers are on the list of items that must be left at the luggage counter.
What if it is cloudy or stormy?
The outdoor terrace may close in bad weather while indoor activities remain available. The operator says there are no weather refunds or rain checks. Check the forecast and product terms before buying; poor visibility is not a guaranteed refund reason.
Is there more to do nearby?
The fountain shows are free. For other ideas that cost nothing, see free things to do in Dubai, and for a route that fits Burj Khalifa into a short stay, our three-day Dubai itinerary. The Museum of the Future is closed until early 2027.
