Baynunah Park

Baynunah Park (written “Bainuna Park” by the Abu Dhabi Media Office) is a public park in Abu Dhabi city run by Abu Dhabi City Municipality. After a redevelopment completed in 2025 it has walking paths, children’s play areas, a badminton court and barbecue zones, so it suits families, walkers and picnic groups.

What the 2025 redevelopment added

On 2 March 2025 the Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that the municipality’s Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector had completed a comprehensive redevelopment of the park for visitors of all ages, with attention to people of determination. The works listed were:

• 3,000 metres of walkways and paths rehabilitated
• five sand and rubber play areas for children, with 14 new games, two of them designed for people of determination
• a badminton court
• six designated barbecue areas
• the old fountain removed and the area replanted with flowers and ground cover
• new guidance and directional signs, decorative lighting and maintenance of all lighting poles
• rehabilitated green spaces and restrooms

Before you go

The Department of Municipalities and Transport’s list of public parks shows Baynunah Park as open all day. That list does not mention an entry fee. The list was last updated in September 2023, so check with the municipality if you are planning an event or a large group visit.

Good to know

• Barbecuing has six designated areas, created in the 2025 works.
• Two of the 14 children’s games are designed for people of determination.
• The park has restrooms, rehabilitated during the 2025 works.
• The official hours are “open all day”; no separate hours are given for the play areas or court.
