About Expo City Dubai
Expo City Dubai is the district built on the former Expo 2020 Dubai site, now a mix of attractions, parks, event venues, offices and homes. It is for families and day visitors who want to see the legacy attractions such as Terra and Al Wasl Plaza, and for people coming to concerts, workshops and other events there.

Terra is an indoor exhibit on sustainability with underwater and forest environments, plus Taqa Island, an indoor playground for children, a gift shop, dining and guided tours. Opening hours as published by Terra: daily 10:00 to 18:00, last entry 17:30. A Terra and Vision Dubai combo ticket is sold; its price was not shown on the page.
Getting there and getting around
- Metro: Expo 2020 station on the Red Line, with an RTA bus stop outside the station.
- Car: the site is reached from the main roads and has four parking zones with about 9,500 bays; follow the signs to a zone.
- Taxi: regular taxis and ride-hailing apps such as Careem, Uber and S’hail.
- On site: yellow taxi buggies for short trips, plus e-scooters and e-bikes rented through their operators’ apps.
The districts
The city is organised into Expo Downtown, Expo Business, Expo Hills, Expo Valley and Expo Fields. The Expo City Dubai app and the online city map show venues, parking and mobility hubs.
Good to know
- Surreal, Al Wasl Plaza and the mosque are listed as free; Terra, Vision Dubai and House of Arts are ticketed.
- Terra’s last entry is 30 minutes before closing.
- Concerts and events have their own tickets and times; on 17 October 2026 the events page listed shows from late October to early December 2026.
