Jumeirah Mosque

A working mosque in the Fatimid style that runs guided visits for non-Muslims through the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, including a question-and-answer session.

What it costs: a modest fee for the guided visit, which usually includes refreshments.

Our advice: the point of the visit is the Q&A, not the architecture — you are encouraged to ask anything. Dress modestly: shoulders and knees covered; headscarves are provided for women.
