Manarat al Saadiyat
About Manarat al Saadiyat
Choose between seeing art and making it
Manarat Al Saadiyat is a cultural venue on Saadiyat Island with exhibitions, creative studios and public programmes. General venue entry is free, but a particular exhibition or studio activity can have its own charge. Decide whether your group wants a gallery visit, a hands-on session or both; those are different budgets and schedules.
The operator directs gallery and public-programme visitors through Gate 1. Gate 2 visitor parking, near the restaurant, is closer to the Art Studio. Choosing the relevant gate before arrival is more useful than a promised taxi journey time. Reception can assist with a taxi; the old bus-route list has not been independently checked against a live transport timetable here.
Calculate the studio cost by age
Published drop-in rates are AED 50 for participants aged 13 and above for two hours, and AED 30 for ages 3–12 for an hour and a half. Two participating adults and children aged 6 and 10 would therefore total AED 160. The session lengths differ, so do not schedule the whole family’s two hours on the assumption that every ticket has the same duration.
Painting and drawing materials are provided, but a canvas is not: bring one or budget for a separate purchase. Ceramics includes an induction before independent work; kiln firing being available does not establish immediate collection of a finished object. Ask about the specific process before promising a souvenir ready that afternoon.
Adults remain part of the plan
Under-eight children must have an adult throughout. For older children, staff supervision still requires the adult to remain nearby in the venue. This is not a drop-off childcare product. Decide which adults are participating and which are accompanying before making the budget.
The direct operator visitor page gives daily venue hours of 10 am–8 pm; studio sessions have their own availability. Generic official pages show different earlier openings, so use the venue’s own visitor instructions and selected programme. A gallery visit followed by one booked activity is a manageable plan without assuming every event, studio material or exhibition is included.
