Al Heera Beach

Al Heera Beach is a public beachfront in Sharjah city, opened by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in December 2022. It runs 3.5 km along Al Muntazah Street in the Al Fisht area, with tracks, play areas, a skate park, cafés and a marina, and suits families, walkers, cyclists and skaters.

Where it is

Visit Sharjah, the emirate’s official tourism website, says the beach faces the Arabian Gulf and stretches along Al Muntazah Street from just north of the Sharjah Ladies Club to Al Rifa’ah Beach.

What is there

• A jogging track and a cycle route, with a bike service and bicycle parking
• Sports courts and fields, children’s play areas, a water feature and gathering areas
• Kota Skate Park, with tracks for skateboarding, roller skating, scooters and BMX, and a pump track for children around the outside
• A beachfront promenade with 18 food and retail units in three clusters of six
• A marina for more than 100 yachts and boats, with a club for guests and boat owners
• Four service buildings with restrooms, changing rooms, baby rooms and showers, plus prayer rooms and car parking

At the opening, Shurooq said the prayer rooms are for both men and women and that the site includes an open space for seasonal events.

Before you go

Visit Sharjah does not publish opening hours, entry fees or beach rules for Al Heera Beach. Opening hours of individual cafés and the skate park are set by each operator.

Good to know

• The beach is 3.5 km long, so check which of the three clusters you are heading to before parking.
• Showers, changing rooms and baby rooms are in the four service buildings.
• Bicycles can be parked at the bike service point.
• The skate park’s outer pump track is meant for younger children.
