Almajaz Park

Al Majaz Waterfront, listed here as Almajaz Park, is a public lakeside promenade and park on Khalid Lagoon in the Al Majaz area of Sharjah city. It is for families and visitors who want an evening walk, a picnic, play areas for children, a meal by the water or the Sharjah Musical Fountain show.

What is there

The waterfront is one of the destinations of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), which lists it in its portfolio. Shurooq and Visit Sharjah, the emirate’s official tourism site, name these features:

• Sharjah Musical Fountain: a show of dancing water and light on the lagoon.
• For children: a mini splash park and a splash playground area.
• Exercise: a jogging track, and space for walks and family cycling.

Fountain show times

Visit Sharjah’s guide says the fountain shows run from 6:30 pm to 11 pm. The official pages do not give the number of shows, opening hours for the waterfront itself, or prices for paid activities.
