About The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi

The National Aquarium at Al Qana, Rabdan is a themed aquarium visit with optional combined experiences. Start with the question your group wants answered: is seeing the aquatic exhibits enough, or do you specifically want a boat or another attraction? A longer inclusion list is useful only when everyone can and wants to use it.

Basic entry versus a combo

The current ticket site identifies General Admission with the ten aquarium zones. Its other products can combine the aquarium with The Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi, a Wildlife Rescue tour, Pristine Seas or a glass-bottom boat; inclusions differ by product. Do not confuse those Abu Dhabi butterfly gardens with Dubai Butterfly Garden in Al Barsha.

The boat product has its own eligibility rules, including age above one, ability to use stairs and wear a lifejacket; it excludes pregnant guests and publishes a restriction for People of Determination. These rules belong to the activity, not a blanket ban on aquarium entry. If a member of your group cannot use it, compare basic admission plus an add-on for eligible people against upgrading everybody.

A budget you can reproduce

Ticket amounts did not render in our reader, so we do not invent a current price. For four paying visitors, write the actual General Admission quote as G and the chosen combo quote as C: basic entry totals 4G, while upgrading two people gives 2G + 2C. Record any age or accessibility concession separately instead of assuming every child has a discount or free entry. Check whether an online ticket’s validity period suits the itinerary.

The rules make tickets non-refundable and non-transferable. Confirm the product before payment rather than expecting an unused boat or combo inclusion to be converted into cash.

Make the aquarium part useful

Published hours are daily 10 am–10 pm. Children under 12 need supervision by an adult aged at least 16. The operator describes a visit around two hours and offers exhibit information in six languages, including Arabic and English. Use that as a starting allowance, not a guaranteed duration.

Our proposed plan is to choose a zone, compare two animals’ habitats, then discuss the conservation information before any booked add-on. Save the Al Qana entrance and return pickup point. The FAQ lists free surface parking, but dining and travel need their own budget and timing.

An option to compare

Compare with Sharjah Aquarium when choosing a marine-life outing; its joint museum admission and location offer a different plan from Abu Dhabi combo experiences. Sharjah Aquarium.
