About University Hospital Sharjah
University Hospital Sharjah is a teaching hospital on University City Road in Sharjah, close to the University of Sharjah. It provides emergency care, pharmacy, interventional radiology and a range of medical departments. In September 2026 it signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Sharjah to give medical students clinical training in its departments. In June 2026, according to the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, the Ruler of Sharjah ordered an expansion with a new adjacent building costing AED 300 million to double the hospital’s capacity.
