Quranic Park
About Quranic Park
Quranic Park is a public park in Al Khawaneej, Dubai, built by Dubai Municipality around the plants mentioned in the Holy Quran. It suits families, school groups and anyone interested in the plants, stories and miracles named in the Quran, and it has two play areas for children aged 2 to 12.
What is in the park
Dubai Municipality’s project page describes a 64-hectare built-up area, completed in 2019. It is divided into green areas with 12 orchards and greenhouses that grow 51 types of plants mentioned in the Quran. Kiosks explain each plant’s food and medicinal uses and the verses that mention it.
- 12 orchards, including grapes, palm trees and olives, with one kiosk in each orchard
- The Glass House, for plants that need a controlled environment, with smart temperature, irrigation and misting systems
- The Cave of Miracles, with seven exhibits on miracles mentioned in the Quran, shown with hologram technology and 3D mapping projectors
- A lake that shows the miracle of the sea parting for Prophet Moses
- Solar trees with lighting and charging points, and walkways lit by solar power
- Shaded seating areas and two children’s play areas for ages 2 to 12
Hours
The project page does not list standing opening hours. For the Eid Al Adha holiday in June 2024, Dubai Municipality announced park hours of 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, with entry to the Cave of Miracles and the Glass House between 9:00 am and 8:30 pm. Hours change for holidays and Ramadan, so check the current times before you go.
Fees
Dubai Municipality Administrative Resolution No. 316 of 2018 set an entry fee of AED 10 per person for the Cave of Miracles and the Glass House. It exempts children under three, and people with disabilities together with two companions. The resolution covers only these two attractions. Confirm the fee in force with Dubai Municipality, as the project page does not repeat it.
Good to know
- The 2018 fee resolution names only the Cave of Miracles and the Glass House.
- In the published holiday schedule, the last entry to the two attractions was earlier than the park’s closing time.
- The play areas are designed for children aged 2 to 12.
- Questions go to Dubai Municipality through its help and support page.
