Louvre Abu Dhabi
About Louvre Abu Dhabi
Choose Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island when you want a visit centred on art and architecture. Decide whether your priority is the galleries, an exhibition or the dome before choosing arrival time. A late photograph under the dome is a different plan from seeing the collection.
Galleries and dome have different clocks
The museum now publishes gallery and exhibition hours of Monday–Thursday 10 am–6:30 pm and Friday–Sunday 10 am–8:30 pm; last entry is 30 minutes before gallery closure. The dome remains open until midnight, with last entry at 11 pm. Do not apply an older Monday-closed rule, or interpret the midnight building time as midnight access to the art galleries.
Plan backwards from the rooms you most want to see. If you arrive near gallery last entry, move the collection visit earlier rather than compressing every room into the remaining time. Keeping the architecture for later can help you separate those priorities, but does not establish free dome admission or availability of a particular restaurant.
Basic admission or a museums pass?
The published adult rate is AED 70 including VAT; visitors under 18 enter free. Two paying adults with children aged 8 and 14 therefore have an illustrative admission total of AED 140, before transport, meals or optional products. General admission includes the galleries, exhibitions and outdoor plazas under the dome. Access to a café or boutique does not mean that purchases there are included.
The operator also lists multi-museum passes. Compare their actual price and validity only if your itinerary has time for each included museum. An extra venue has value to your group only if it matches their interests and travel plan; do not choose a bundle solely because it lists more attractions.
A focused visit and arrival plan
Our suggestion is to pick a theme—such as how different cultures depict people—choose a few works to compare, then use the building and dome to change pace. With children, let each person choose one object and explain their choice. This is a suggested method, not a claim about which works are currently installed.
The museum lists city bus 94 and a taxi pickup/drop-off at the visitor car park. Check both directions for your travel date. Some galleries may be closed while works change, so consult the current exhibition list before planning around one room.

An option to compare
For an architecture and heritage itinerary, compare a museum collection visit with Qasr Al Watan rather than treating their admission products as interchangeable. Al-Watan Palace.
