Moonrise

Moonrise is a 15-seat chef’s table restaurant on the rooftop of Eden House in Al Satwa, Dubai, led by Chef Solemann Haddad. It serves one set 12-course tasting menu built on Middle Eastern ingredients and dishes, with a vegetarian version. It suits diners planning a booked, fixed-time dinner rather than a casual meal.

How dinner works

All guests sit around one counter facing the open kitchen, and dishes are cooked and plated in front of them. There are two seatings each evening, at 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM, from Tuesday to Saturday, as published by the restaurant. Because everyone starts together, guests who arrive more than 30 minutes late join the menu at the stage it has reached and may miss the first courses.

Menu and price

The menu costs AED 995 per person, including 5% VAT and the 7% Dubai Municipality fee, according to the restaurant’s menu page (as of August 2026). The menu changes gradually with the seasons. Courses listed on the website include a tomato and za’atar labneh dish, a grilled cheese on milk bread, dry-aged UAE hamour, lobster and an A5 Wagyu “shawarma” tikka, with desserts such as labneh ice cream. The vegetarian menu replaces the fish and meat courses with dishes such as asparagus, shiitake and celeriac. Non-alcoholic drink pairings are offered alongside other pairings.

Booking

The restaurant asks guests to book through its SevenRooms reservation page. A booking is confirmed only after you pay a deposit of AED 500 per person and receive a confirmation email. The deposit counts towards the menu price, and the balance is paid at the end of dinner.

Good to know

• The kitchen cannot cater for dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, egg-free or soy-free diets, or for guests at risk of severe reactions from cross-contamination. Contact the restaurant before booking about other allergies.
