Snoopy Island is a small rocky islet off Al Aqah Beach on the east coast of Fujairah. The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism explains that it takes its name from its resemblance to the cartoon character Snoopy and describes it as one of the most important tourist destinations in Fujairah, attracting water-sports enthusiasts with its natural surroundings. The adjacent Al Aqah shoreline is described by Fujairah Tourism as the emirate's most popular beach area, lined with resorts that offer day passes, and home to diving and snorkelling sites on a coral reef with a wide diversity of marine life. No opening hours or fees are published for the island by either authority.
