Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
About Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
Choose the extra experience, not the label
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is a Dubai Mall visit with two stages: the tunnel on Ground Level and the zoo on Level 2. Decide whether you want observation alone or a scheduled activity as well. Agree on the animals or environments that interest the group before selecting a more expensive ticket merely because it sounds comprehensive.
The operator lists Silver at AED 199, Gold at AED 269 and Platinum at AED 399. Silver includes the tunnel, zoo, Penguin Cove and a shop voucher; Gold adds a glass-bottom boat and fish feeding, while its animal-encounter benefit is a discount. Platinum advertises priority access and one included encounter, not unlimited access to every animal activity. Confirm that encounter’s age and slot rules before choosing the upgrade for it.
A four-person comparison
The advertised four-for-three offer is AED 597 rather than AED 796 for four regular Silver tickets: AED 199 less on those published figures. The resident Silver offer is AED 169; do not combine that price with four-for-three unless the selected offer expressly allows it. These are base product figures before the charges and fees excluded on the product pages, not final checkout totals. Silver lists age 2+ at AED 199 and under-two entry free; other products need their own age rules.
Treat the shop voucher as a restricted purchase allowance rather than cash returned to the family. Likewise, an encounter discount only helps when your group would otherwise buy that eligible activity. Check the actual four-ticket product’s inclusions rather than assuming its offer title silently adds Gold or Platinum benefits.
Organise the two floors before entering
The visitor guide allows one entry only, so arrange meals or other mall errands before admission rather than planning to leave and return. Follow the aquarium’s signs between its tunnel and zoo, and ask staff about that day’s presentations. A boat activity needs its own queue and arrangement; keep it separate from the general walking route.
Published hours are Monday–Friday 11:00–21:00 and Saturday–Sunday 10:00–21:00, with last entry 20:15. That cutoff matters more than the mall’s closing time. Leave space for the second-floor section rather than arriving at the final entry minute. Prices and inclusions here were read from public operator pages; no booking, availability or encounter suitability was tested.
