The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is the show of water, light and music on Burj Khalifa Lake in Downtown Dubai, next to The Dubai Mall. Its developer, Emaar, describes it as the world’s largest choreographed fountain system. It is for anyone in Downtown Dubai who wants to watch a short show from the lakeside.

The renovation

Emaar said the first phase of works, covering tiling, water insulation and painting, finished ahead of schedule, and that a second phase adding new features was scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026. No later official update on that second phase was found on Emaar’s pages when this page was checked, so confirm the current schedule before planning around a particular show.

Emaar names these viewing points around the lake:

• the Waterfront Promenade at The Dubai Mall
• the Souk Al Bahar terraces
• Burj Park
• the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk, a floating walkway on the lake

Good to know

• The evening shows run every half hour, so if you miss one, the next starts 30 minutes later.
• The Dubai Mall publishes its own hours: retail shops open 10:00 am–11:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 10:00 am–midnight Friday to Sunday; restaurants stay open later.
