The Hanging Gardens in Kalba is a public hillside park on the Sharjah–Kalba Road, on Sharjah’s east coast. It suits families, walkers and hikers who want green terraces, waterfalls and mountain views, with restaurants and play areas on site. The Ruler of Sharjah opened it on 8 March 2024.

What there is to do
- See the artificial waterfall that drops over several levels into a small lake; it is lit at night.
- Walk the mountain climbing routes, graded at three levels of difficulty, past farm terraces, waterfalls and trees.
- Use the skateboard area, laid out for beginners through to experienced riders.
- Let children play in the recreation areas, which are split into three sections by age.
- Eat at the semi-circular central restaurant (215 seats, facing the waterfall), the wooden upper restaurant at 270 m (100 seats, views on three sides) or the cafeteria for light meals.
Good to know
- The official pages do not publish opening hours or entry fees. Check with Visit Sharjah before you travel.
- One train station is at the upper cafeteria and the other three are inside the gardens.
- There are toilets and prayer rooms for men and women.
- Climbing routes come in three levels, so choose the one that suits your group.
