Questions & Answers

Is Global Village open in summer?

No — it runs one season a year, typically mid-to-late October to April or May, and is shut completely through June, July, August and September.

No. Global Village is closed through the whole summer. It runs one season a year, typically opening in mid-to-late October and closing in April or May — and this is the single thing to check before you build an evening around it.

The season

  • Opens — usually mid-to-late October
  • Closes — usually April, sometimes into May
  • Shut completely — June, July, August, September

The exact dates shift each year. Confirm on the official site before you travel; a season that opened on the 15th one year may open on the 25th the next.

Why it closes

It is an enormous open-air park. Between June and September the afternoon sits at 40–45°C with heavy coastal humidity, and an evening walking several kilometres between pavilions is not something the site can offer.

What to do instead if you are here in summer

Miracle Garden is seasonal too and closed for the same months. The indoor alternatives are the ones that work: IMG Worlds of Adventure is fully indoor, the malls are civic infrastructure in summer, and the water parks work precisely because you are in the water.

The full list is in what to do in Dubai in summer, and the month-by-month picture is in the best time to visit Dubai.

If you are here in season

Gate entry is around AED 30, a full evening with dinner and a couple of rides lands around AED 100–150 per person, and it is the best-value evening in the city. Go mid-week — weekend evenings are crowded enough that the car park alone can cost you an hour.

The pavilions, what to eat, what to refuse and how to get out again are all in the Global Village guide, and the venue page is here.
