Is Global Village open in summer?

No. Global Village is an open-air park that runs one season a year and is closed through the summer. Season 31 opens on 14 October 2026 and runs to May 2027, according to the official website. Gates open at 16:00 every day of the season and close at midnight or 01:00, depending on the day.

Season 31: dates and opening hours

The official site gives the season as 14 October 2026 to May 2027. The exact closing date in May had not been announced when we checked, so confirm on the official website before planning a spring trip around it.

Why it closes for the summer

Global Village is outdoors. A visit means an evening of walking between country pavilions, food stalls and stages. The Dubai Government Media Office gives the city’s average summer high as 41.8°C, with overnight lows of 29.7°C. That is not weather for an open-air park, so the site closes and reopens when the cooler months return.

Tickets for Season 31

• Entry: the official ticket page lists an Any Day ticket at AED 30 and a Weekday ticket at AED 25, valid Monday to Thursday except public holidays.
• Do not budget from last season’s prices. Wait for the official figures.
• People of determination and one companion get free entry, according to the official visitor information.

Getting there

By RTA bus

Four RTA routes run during the season, typically from 15:15 to 23:15 daily:

• Bus 102 from Centrepoint Metro station
• Bus 103 from Union Metro station
• Bus 104 from Al Ghubaiba bus station
• Bus 106 from Mall of the Emirates Metro station

By car

• Free parking: P1, P3 and P5, about 400–450 metres from the Gate of the World. P7 to P11 are about 1 km away and open on weekends and public holidays only.
• Paid parking: the official site lists daily options at AED 75 (premium lot 2), AED 120 (standard) and AED 200 (VIP).

A worked example

Four friends plan a Tuesday evening in November. Tuesday is reserved for families, couples and ladies, so a group of male friends should pick another night. If they move to Thursday, the park stays open until 01:00. Driving, they can use the free P1, P3 or P5 car parks and walk 400–450 metres to the entrance, or pay AED 75 to AED 200 for one of the paid options. Without a car, bus 103 from Union Metro station runs until about 23:15, so they should plan the ride back around that rather than around the 01:00 closing.

What to do instead in summer

• Arriving before 16:00. The park does not open in the daytime.
• Turning up on a Tuesday as an all-male group. Tuesdays, except public holidays, are reserved for families, couples and ladies.
• Relying on the last bus at closing time. The RTA routes typically stop around 23:15, well before the park closes.
• Using last season’s dates or prices. Both change each year.
