Al Shindagha Museum
About Al Shindagha Museum
Choose the Dubai story that interests you
Al Shindagha Museum is a group of themed heritage spaces, rather than a single room to tick off. Its published subjects include the creek, maritime life, crafts, perfume and childhood. Choose a theme before buying: trade and the sea for an economic-history route, or materials and daily routines for a family route.
Start at the Welcome Centre and ask which houses are open and included in your selected ticket. For a compact visit, connect two related themes and leave room to discuss them. For example, compare how an object was made with how it was used at home. Treat our proposed route as an organising idea; it does not establish a live demonstration, tasting session or workshop on your date.
Check the scope as carefully as the price
The live visit page displays AED 50 for an adult and AED 20 for a student. At those categories, two adults and two eligible students calculate to AED 140 before food, transport and extras. The displayed category alone does not settle who qualifies as a student. Confirm the evidence required; do not assign children to a concession based solely on appearance.
The same page says entry to two houses. We could not confirm which houses the selected product covers from the ticket application read here, so this guide does not promise all-house admission. Before payment, get the included houses, ticket validity and any separately priced guide or activity confirmed for the actual product. The free child category on the live page does not specify its age boundary.
Leave time between heritage spaces
Regular hours are 10:00–20:00 and last entry 19:00. Use the Al Shindagha district destination when arranging your arrival, and allow for movement between houses rather than assuming the whole visit is in one building. Start with the orientation information instead of walking directly to a house that may not match your ticket.
Tell the Welcome Centre if your group needs a shorter walking route, step-free access or a place to pause. These are useful questions, not a verified access audit. If your main aim is a children’s activity, name that activity when asking about availability. You can still build a worthwhile visit around two chosen themes without needing to claim that every house or programme is included.
