About People and Faith
People and Faith is a heritage house within Al Shindagha Museum, the museum run by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority in the historic Al Shindagha neighbourhood on Dubai Creek. It belongs to the museum's Governance and Society pavilion. The exhibition explains the role of Islam as the foundation of Emirati culture and how it has shaped family life, business practices and social relations, with emphasis on courtesy, respect, tolerance and acceptance. It has two parts: an orientation experience introducing basic Islamic principles and their influence on language, science, the arts and architecture, and a historical section showing how Emiratis in the first half of the 20th century lived according to these principles. Entry is with an Al Shindagha Museum ticket, and the museum opens daily from 10am to 8pm.
